ChristCare
“Encourage one another and build one another up.” Thessalonians 5:11
Mission: To provide and support Christ-centered small groups.
Vision: To provide opportunity and support for small groups of people to explore their faith and put Christ at the center of their lives.
Hopewell Presbyterian Church has a long history of commitment to small groups. We know that small groups of people meeting regularly provide a place to grow together in faith and to share one another’s joys and burdens. Through Bible study, prayer, and fellowship, we see each other become better disciples of Jesus Christ.
ChristCare small groups are warm, welcoming groups where usually 8-10 people meet weekly for 90 minutes. These ChristCare groups are described as circles of care with Christ at the center. Within these small groups, members listen to each other, study the Bible, and consider how God’s Word can influence their daily lives as well as ways to reach out in Christian service to others. Small groups are places where individuals explore their faith in the context of acceptance and confidentiality, always with Christ at the center of their activities. The two primary goals of ChristCare is to help individuals grow in their faith and to foster Christian service to others through their membership in a ChristCare small group
Lay leaders have been trained as Equippers by Stephen Ministries faculty who then recruit, train and support lay members of HPC as ChristCare small group leaders. A variety of types of ChristCare groups meet in homes and the church during the day and in the evening throughout each week. A list of the currently active ChristCare groups and leaders includes:

Following the example of Jesus and his disciples, ChristCare groups at HPC are an intimate place to study God’s word, worship, pray, get to know and care for each other and to serve those outside our groups. You do not have to be a member of HPC to join a ChristCare group. All are welcome. For more information about ChristCare, please call or email .
